This site contains a 6 year record and several hundred page builders journal. Sections 1 through 7 of 12 sections describe methods I've used to scratch-build my Zenith 601HDS from plans-only. This record is not to say how something must be done, but rather tries to describe in detail the processes and tools I've had to make and use to get the job done. The Menu titles relate to picture pages of specific areas of construction and the Journal is linear from day-one Section 1 to the top of Section 11. The adventure of flight begins in Section 8 and after one year and 85 hours, April of Section 10 through November of Section 11, total disassembly, prime and finish painting was done using waterborne urethane. I'm still writing airplane related activities daily. Links (underlined in blue) from Journal to the pictured menu pages are being added for quick cross-reference viewing. For those really determined souls, I offer plans for an 8-foot bend brake for bending nearly all 601 series parts. Finish the brake per plans and email me a digital *.jpg picture of your brake that can be added here and I'll post your pictures and refund the price of your plans. When the plane is done and you have the need for another less painfully involved project, I've built a seriously good Light Sport Recumbent Bicycle that you may find interesting. See 2007 Recumbent on the menu. You're welcome to copy what you see or you can buy the plans and obtain specific details & drawings on how to build this recumbent. For
